Jean Arnold began 479 Popcorn with a fond childhood memory of devouring fresh, organic popcorn that her mother made in a stovetop popper. While at London’s Le Cordon Bleu, Jean discovered that 479 degrees F. is the optimal temperature for popping corn, hence the name of her artisan product. Today, Jean makes popcorn in small batches by hand in her San Francisco kitchen, using organic heirloom corn, organic agave syrup, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
