| Nugget Signature Recipe | |
Shop our grocery aisles for barbecue sauce and youll be amazed at the sheer variety of flavors and styles – some are best for ribs and others for chicken, but the majority work for just about any application.
Cooking tip – when grilling outdoors, brush on barbecue sauces shortly before the meat is finished cooking. Sugar – brown sugar, molasses, corn syrup – is present in most barbecue sauces and will burn quickly when placed over heat for long periods of time. Getting a little caramelization from the heat adds great flavor, but burned barbecue sauce does the exact opposite.
Ingredients
- 1 package Best of the Fryer (breasts, thighs, drumsticks)
- Kosher or sea salt and cracked black pepper to taste
- 1½ cups Stubb's Smokey Mesquite Bar-B-Q Sauce
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Arrange chicken pieces on a sheet pan, then season with salt and pepper. Place in oven and roast uncovered for 30 minutes. Brush chicken liberally with Stubbs Smokey Mesquite Bar-B-Q Sauce; repeat after 5 minutes. Cook an additional 5 minutes to help sauce set. Remove from oven, let cool slightly and serve!
Perfect picnic food - make this dish a day ahead and pack in ice chest. Be sure to bring lots of napkins!
