Although Jennifer Grocock says her childhood ambition was to be a killer whale trainer, as an adult Jennifer has found a home at Nugget Markets, where she has now worked for more than a decade. “I love so many things about working for Nugget,” she says. “Our culture is so strong, and we are encouraged to take chances and work as a team while having fun the whole time.” Jennifer is also passionate about her interactions with her guests. “Our Healthy Living guests are very special,” she says. “They feel a level of trust with me, and I love when they express their gratitude. The only downfall is that these personal interactions often bring me to tears!” Although she holds a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Jennifer says the on-the-job training she has received has been just as important. “The product knowledge we receive on the floor and at our various in-depth trainings have truly enhanced my confidence in serving my guests,” she says. “I think it is fascinating how diverse our guests are, and how I can make a connection with anyone!”
