Produce
One thing we hear over and over again from our guests is how they love the huge selection in our produce department. And it’s true – we stock hundreds of varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the year. We’re happy to offer you both conventional and organic produce, taste-tested for quality by our associates, and delivered fresh to our stores daily (yep, that means seven days a week). But what many of even our most devoted shoppers may not know is that if they’re looking for something we don’t have in stock, and it exists, we’ll do everything we can to get it. All you have to do is ask!
Meat & Seafood
Don’t know a chop from a roast? Our butchers will not only help you select the perfect cut, but they’re also happy to advise you on proper cooking times and temperatures. With a selection of all-natural Harris Ranch beef, Foster Farms chicken, organic meat selections, and Nugget’s own hand-crafted sausage, there’s plenty to choose from for all tastes and cooking abilities. 
We would also like to invite all of our guests to learn more about our FishWise labeling program in our seafood department. FishWise helps you select seafood based on sustainability — and we love that it’s color-coded, which makes it easy to understand. A green label means that the fish was caught using a sustainable method and the fish populations are healthy. A yellow label means that there are some concerns about the fish or the catch method, and a red label means that the fish populations are either over-fished or at capacity, and the fishing method is not sustainable.
Grocery
We know that one of the biggest misconceptions about Nugget Markets is that it’s a high-priced store. But don’t be fooled by our beautiful décor and wide selection of specialty products: when it comes to the staple grocery items that you use every day, our prices really are lower! That’s why we believe Nugget represents the “best of both worlds”: low prices on your everyday needs, and a huge selection of hard-to-find specialty, natural and organic foods. We also stock a wide variety of grocery items for those with special dietary needs, including products that are dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, wheat-free, and a whole lot of other –free things that we don’t have room to list here.
In The Kitchen
At each Nugget Market a team of professional chefs prepares restaurant-quality food daily. That’s one reason we like to think of each of our kitchens as a restaurant- within-a-store. With a selection of regional and international cuisine prepared fresh from scratch daily, not to mention build-your-own sandwiches and salads for a quick-and-delicious lunch, your biggest problem is going to be deciding what to order.
Bakery
Wait … what’s that smell in the air? Could it be … fresh-baked cookies? You’d better believe it: at Nugget, we bake our cookies, breads and other bakery treats in-house daily. Time your visit right and you might even catch them while they’re still warm from the oven.
We’re very proud of our artisan bread program, too. In addition to being baked in our stores each day, our breads are made from scratch using organic grains. And we’re sure you’ve heard about the movement away from trans fats. That’s why we offer loads of treats that are trans-fat free – just ask any bakery associate for more info.
Adult Beverage
Show of hands: Who feels like they need a degree in viticulture to avoid embarrassment in the wine aisle? Not at Nugget. Although we offer a huge range of wines and other adult beverages from all over the world, navigating this department is easy, thanks to our on-site wine stewards. They’re always more than happy to help you make your selection – and they’ll also help you pick out other items that will pair perfectly with your favorite bottle, like cheeses or chocolates from our specialty departments.
Healthy Living
It’s not all about vitamins and herbs in our healthy living department — although we do have a huge selection of vitamins, herbs and supplements, as well as a healthy living specialist in the aisle five days a week to help you make your selection. But we also want to keep you looking you best with our collection of bath-, body- and hair-care products from some of our favorite eco-friendly companies like Pacifica and Burt’s Bees. And if you’re looking for a gift, this is the place to come: We stock items from eco-friendly clothing lines Livity and Simple, and great gifts from all over the globe from World of Good.
Juice & Coffee Bars
Non-fat, sugar-free vanilla decaf latte with no foam? No problem. The baristas in our coffee and juice bars can froth with the best of ‘em. Come in often and you can pretty much bet they’ll learn your name – and your regular order, too. And unlike at some popular coffee houses (that shall here remain nameless), you don’t have to order off the menu at Nugget. Craving a Peppermint Mocha in July? No problem! We’ll go get the candy canes.
Specialty Cheese
Nugget stocks more than 400 varieties of cheese. If the very thought of trying to figure out which one pairs best with your ’95 Viognier sends you into a cold sweat, don’t worry: each store has a cheese specialist on site to make selecting a snap.
