This fresh, simple and tasty hors d’oeuvre is a timeless pairing and perfect for fall. Guaranteed to have your guests raving!
- 1 pint fresh figs
- 2 ounces fresh baby arugula
- 5 ounces honey chèvre
- 1 slice of prosciutto, cut into thin strips
Rinse, dry and remove the top from the figs. Make 2 deep cuts into the fig perpendicular to one another, then pipe ½ ounce of honey chèvre into the opening.
*Chèvre often comes in plastic logs; if you snip the corner you can use the bag to pipe the chèvre into the openings.
Finish the canape with a leaf of arugula and a strip of prosciutto, arrange on a serving platter and watch the compliments flow as the figs disappear.
