Novato’s own Chef Oscar has been been cooking professionally since 1986 and now brings his talents to Nugget Markets. While Oscar enjoys keeping things simple in the kitchen and celebrating any ingredient’s own flavor, he doesn’t play favorites. “My favorite is every single dish—I love food.” At home, Oscar enjoys cooking holiday meals and mole pipian, a Guatemalan dish. His most common tips he likes to share are that “people eat first with the eyes” and the importance of keeping everything fresh.
