It’s easy to make an all-natural DIY scrub or two with just a few simple ingredients like sugar and coffee! These sensational scrubs are perfect for a spa day staycation and also make great gifts when packed in cute jars.
Turkish Coffee Face Scrub
This mask does double duty—the coffee acts as a mechanical scrub, while the natural acids in the sugar act as chemical exfoliate. Cardamom is high in vitamin C and great for circulation!
2 tablespoons finely ground coffee (Turkish or espresso grind)
1 tablespoon sugar
⅛ teaspoon cardamom
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. When ready to use, mix 1 teaspoon of scrub with enough water to make a thick paste (it won’t take much). Scrub very gently on face, avoiding the eye area. Let sit for 1 minute before rinsing with warm water.
Note: Avoid using a white washcloth to rinse off as the coffee may stain.
Lemon Sugar Foot Scrub
If you need a treat after a long day on your feet, this refreshing, lemony scrub will do the trick! La Tourangelle’s SunCoco Oil is a blend of coconut and sunflower oils, which unlike straight coconut oil, is not solid at room temperature, making this scrub easier to use.
⅓ cup sugar
2 tablespoons La Tourangelle SunCoco Oil
10 drops lemon essential oil
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Apply to damp skin, scrub gently and rinse off. Avoid sensitive areas. As this is an oil-based scrub, use caution when using in the shower or tub!
