Latin for "to break open," the Burgare features the classic, vinegar-based mixer known as shrubs. While trendy now, shrubs date back to the Colonial Era in America and were popular before the advent of refrigeration.
- ⅓ cup apple juice
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 1 tablespoon Shrub & Co Tart Apple Shrub
- Whipped cream
In a saucepan, heat apple juice and cinnamon until hot. Pour contents into large coffee cup and add bourbon and Tart Apple Shrub. Top off with whipped cream and cinnamon for garnish.
