For the love of candy corn! These simply adorable Jell-O shots are a fun, easy and festive treat perfect for any party. For a sweeter version, replace the vodka with rum; for a non-alcoholic version, replace the vodka with water.
- 8 navel oranges, halved and hollowed
- 1½ cups water
- 1 box orange Jell-O
- 1½ cup vodka
- 1 can coconut milk
- 1 envelope Knox gelatin
- ¼ cup sugar
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil and stir in the packet of orange Jell-O. Once the Jell-O has dissolved, mix in 1 cup of vodka and stir. Pour mixture into the orange peels (this should fill the oranges halfway). Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours until the layer is firm.
Mix ½ cup water and ½ cup coconut milk in a sauce pan, then mix in Knox gelatin. Let mixture sit for 1 minute, then stir until dissolved over medium heat. Add ¼ cup sugar and continue heating until dissolved. Pour mixture into oranges, filling to the top, then refigerate overnight.
After gelatin is set, quarter the orange halves with a sharp knife and serve.
