Flavorful fajitas are easier to prepare than you think! Save even more time by grabbing pre-cut bell peppers from our Produce Department.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces canola oil
- 2 pounds carne asada
- 1 red bell pepper, julienned
- 1 yellow bell pepper, julienned
- 1 orange bell pepper, julienned
- 1 red onion, julienned
- 1 jalapeño, sliced thin
- 1 lime
- 5 sprigs cilantro, chopped
Preparation
Heat an oiled cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Place carne asada in hot skillet and cook for 3 minutes per side, then set aside. Increase the heat to high and place veggies in the same skillet. Cook 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until nicely seared.
Slice rested carne asada and place on seared vegetables. Finish with a squeeze of lime and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately on hot skillet or in a serving dish.
