Lemon pepper is a common flavor combo and with good reason! The citrusy lemon and smoky black pepper brighten up mild proteins like chicken and add great zest to grilled veggies.
- 3 tablespoons fresh cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic, granulated
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon, salt
- 2 lemons, zest only
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, combine thoroughly. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
For chicken, sprinkle on generously and rub to adhere spices to the meat. Let sit for 10-15 minutes, then grill or roast as desired.
For vegetables, lightly coat the vegetables with oil and toss with the Lemon Pepper Rub, then grill or roast immediately.
