Strike gold with this fun and refreshing drink—it’s like a margarita crossed with sangria!
Ingredients
Single Cocktail:
- 2 ounces tequila
- ¾ ounce triple sec
- 3 ounces margarita mix
- 3 ounces sangria, divided
- Lime wedge, for garnish
- Gold sugar, for garnish
Pitcher:
- 8 ounces tequila
- 3 ounces triple sec
- 12 ounces margarita mix
- 12 ounces sangria, divided
- Lime wedge, for garnish
- Gold sugar, for garnish
Preparation
Prep glasses by rimming with a lime wedge and dipping in gold sugar.
Pour tequila, triple sec and margarita mix into a blender. Add ice to just above liquid level, then blend until smooth. If it is too thick, add a little more margarita mix or tequila.
To serve, fill each glass ⅓ of the way full with margarita, add 2 ounces sangria, add margarita until glass is ⅔ full, add 1 ounce sangria and top off with a final layer of margarita.
