Turn pizza into the perfect party appetizer by folding it into a Stromboli! To make this dish extra delicious, serve with a side of our Kitchen's homemade marinara sauce for dipping.
- 1 ball Nugget Markets' Homemade Pizza Dough
- Flour, for dusting
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped basil, divided
- 1 tablespoon chopped oregano, divided
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella, divided
- 3–4 ounces sliced salami
- 4 ounces sliced provolone
- 2 ounces sliced pepperoni
- 1 egg, beaten
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Cut the pizza dough into 2 equal pieces. Shape each into a ball, cover with a towel and let rest for 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 450°F.
On a floured work surface, press the dough into a rough rectangle with your fingertips. Roll, stretch or toss dough until it's about ¼ inch thick and approximately 8x14 inches. If dough begins to spring back excessively, let rest for 5 minutes before continuing.
Brush dough with olive oil, leaving ½ inch bare around the edges. Evenly sprinkle half of the basil and oregano over the dough. Spread about 6 ounces of mozzarella cheese over the dough and then top with salami. Add a layer of provolone, then pepperoni and finally top with the remaining shredded mozzarella and chopped herbs.
Fold the top third of the dough into the center and then brush the exposed dough with egg wash. Fold the bottom third over the top creating a trifold. Stretch and crimp the edges to create a tight seal. Transfer to a lined baking sheet and brush with egg wash. Evenly sprinkle grated Parmesan over the top.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until risen and well browned. Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
