Four Alarm Charred Chili Salsa

Preparation
Char vegetables over an open flame until they are mostly blackened.
Place charred vegetables and water in a medium saucepot and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 15–20 minutes, until half of the water has evaporated.
Add cilantro, sugar, salt, and lime, then puree with a stick blender until smooth.
Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
