Blend up this festive margarita in celebration of our nation's independence, or whenever you want a fun and fruity cocktail. You can also make a non-alcoholic version for the kiddos!
- 1½ ounces premium silver tequila
- ¾ ounce triple sec
- 2 ounces margarita mix
- 3 ounces puree
- 1 package (6 ounces) raspberries
- 1 package (6 ounces) blueberries
- 2 white peaches, peeled and pitted
- 6 ounces simple syrup
- 6 ounces water
To make this striped cocktail, begin by making the 3 fruit purees: raspberry, blueberry and peach. Combine raspberries, 2 ounces simple syrup and 2 ounces water, then blend into a puree and strain for seeds. Separately, combine blueberries, 2 ounces simple syrup and 2 ounces water, and blend into a puree. Finally, combine white peaches with 2 ounces simple syrup and 2 ounces water and blend into a puree.
Combine each puree with 1½ ounces tequila, ¾ ounce triple sec, 2 ounces margarita mix and ice, then blend. (For a non-alcoholic version, simply leave out the tequila and triple sec.) Each flavor can be enjoyed on its own, or layered in the same glass for a festive red, white and blue beverage.
