A perfect summertime cocktail, the Caipirnha Cocktail is made from Cachaça, the most popular distilled spirit in Brazil!
- 3 lime wedges
- 1 ounces cane sugar simple syrup
- 1½ ounces Novo Fogo Cachaça
- Juice of ½ lime
- Float of soda water (optional)
- ½ ounce cane sugar
- ½ ounce warm water
To make the simple syrup, combine warm water and cane sugar in a shaker. Shake until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until ready to use.
For the cocktail, muddle lime wedges and simple syrup in the bottom of a shaker. Add Cachaca, lime juice and a scoop of ice and shake for about 10 seconds. Pour contents into a glass. If desired, add a float of soda water.
